RBI Schedules Auction of State Government Securities Worth ₹13,450 Crore
The Reserve Bank of India will conduct an auction for State Government Securities worth ₹13,450 crore on May 26, 2026, using the E-Kuber platform. Eight states, including Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, are participating in this auction. The aggregate amount of ₹13,450 crore will be raised through a mix of price-based and yield-based auctions for various tenors.
Individual investors can participate via the non-competitive bidding facility on the RBI's Retail Direct portal. For financial institutions, these securities are recognized assets for maintaining the Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) under Section 24 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Successful bidders are required to complete payments by May 27, 2026.
