Vacancy Details
A total of 130 vacancies have been allocated across six different government departments of Jammu & Kashmir:
- ARI & Trainings Department: 42 vacancies (including posts like Machineman, Binder, and Copy Holder)
- Industries and Commerce Department: 34 vacancies
- Home Department: 21 vacancies
- Agriculture Production Department: 17 vacancies
- Higher Education Department: 15 vacancies
- Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs: 01 vacancy
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following nationality, age, and educational requirements as of the qualifying cutoff dates:
- Domicile Status: Must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Age Limit (as of January 1, 2026):
- Open Merit (OM) Candidates: Maximum 40 years
- SC / ST / RBA / ALC/IB / EWS Candidates: Maximum 43 years
- Physically Challenged (PwBD) Candidates: Maximum 42 years
- Government Service / Contractual Candidates: Maximum 40 years
- Educational Qualification: Ranges from Matriculation (10th) with ITI certificates for technical trades, up to standard Graduation degrees from recognized universities, depending on the specific post applied for.
Application Fee
The fee must be deposited completely online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Offline payments are not accepted:
- General, OBC, RBA, and ALC-IB categories: Rs. 600/-
- SC, ST, EWS, and PwBD categories: Rs. 500/-
Selection Process
The recruitment process for all advertised posts will follow a standardized merit-based format:
- Written Examination: OMR-based or Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer will apply.
- Skill / Practical Test: Applicable only for specific technical posts (e.g. Machineman, Binder, typing posts) to evaluate technical competence. This test is qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates in the zone of consideration must present original academic certificates, J&K domicile proof, and category certificates.
- Medical Examination: Standard medical fitness clearance from an authorized medical board.
