Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

- For Law Officer: A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.
- For HR/Personnel Officer: Graduate and Two Years Full-time Post Graduate degree or Two Years Full-time Post Graduate diploma in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HR / HRD/ Social Work / Labour Law.
2. Age Limit (As of June 1, 2026)
The minimum age required is 20 years, and the maximum age limit is 30 years. This means candidates must have been born not earlier than June 2, 1996, and not later than June 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Selection Process

- Phase I: Preliminary Examination: An objective test consisting of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. This is a qualifying round.
- Phase II: Main Examination: This includes objective tests and a descriptive test (for PO). Specialist Officer mains focus heavily on Professional Knowledge relevant to the post.
- Phase III: Personal Interview: Candidates who clear the Mains will be called for an interview conducted by the participating banks and coordinated by IBPS. The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100.
Salary & Pay Scale
Successful candidates will be placed in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). The salary structure for IBPS PO and SO is highly competitive, following the latest Bipartite Settlements.
Starting Basic Pay: Approximately Rs. 36,000 per month.
Gross Salary: Including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and Special Allowances, the gross monthly emoluments range between Rs. 52,000 to Rs. 58,000 depending on the location of posting (Metropolitan vs. Rural areas).
Additionally, officers are entitled to various perks such as Newspaper Allowance, Medical Aid, Travelling Allowance, and Leased Accommodation facilities.
