Jammu University Invites Industry Experts for Professor of Practice Positions

The University of Jammu has released a formal notification for the engagement of Professors of Practice on an honorary basis across several departments. Distinguished professionals with a minimum of 15 years of proven expertise in their respective fields are invited to submit their applications by 16 April 2026. This initiative is designed to bring real-world industry experience into the classroom, enhancing the vocational and technical training of students.

Eligible candidates should possess a background in sectors such as technology, science, social sciences, or arts, with a track record of innovation or leadership. Unlike traditional faculty roles, these positions focus on the application of knowledge, and candidates are evaluated based on their professional achievements rather than purely academic qualifications. The selected experts will collaborate with the Board of Studies to refine curricula and mentor students.
