India Launches Operation Amistad: Sending Critical HADR Assistance After Venezuelan Seismic Doublet

In the wake of a catastrophic seismic doublet that struck northwestern and central Venezuela on June 24, 2026, India has initiated a swift and comprehensive Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission named 'Operation Amistad'. These are state-of-the-art, indigenous, rapidly deployable modular hospitals that can be set up in under ten minutes to provide emergency surgical care, critical care, and diagnostic services for up to 200 patients.
