Recognizing the untapped potential in rural and semi-urban areas, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has launched 'Navachar Mantra'. This ambitious initiative aims to decentralize the startup ecosystem by directly reaching out to village-level innovators, local artisans, and students who have developed practical, low-cost technological solutions for daily challenges.
Scheme Mechanics
Under Navachar Mantra, the government will set up Micro-Incubation Centers at district-level Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Selected innovators will receive seed funding of up to ₹5 Lakhs, patent filing assistance, and mentorship from industry leaders. The scheme specifically targets innovations in sustainable agriculture, localized renewable energy, and traditional crafts technology.
