CRPF Constable (Technical, Tradesmen & Pioneer) 2026: Major Amendment Notice

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has released a highly anticipated corrigendum/amendment notice for the ongoing Constable (Technical, Tradesmen & Pioneer) Recruitment 2026. This amendment brings massive relief regarding age relaxation and significantly increases the total number of vacancies.

1. Key Highlights of the Amendment

• Age Relaxation: Following judicial rulings and the delay in recruitment cycles, a one-time age relaxation of 3 years has been granted across all categories (UR, OBC, SC, ST).
• Vacancy Surge: The total number of vacancies has been drastically increased from 9,212 to 10,500.
• Application Window Reopened: The portal has been reopened for candidates who are newly eligible under the revised age criteria.

The updated vacancies (10,500) are distributed State-wise and Trade-wise.

• Male Candidates: 10,350 Vacancies (Trades: Driver, Motor Mechanic, Carpenter, Tailor, Bugler, Cook, etc.)
• Female Candidates: 150 Vacancies (Trades: Bugler, Cook, Water Carrier, Hair Dresser, etc.)

4. Eligibility & New Age Limits

• Educational Qualification: 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board. Technical trades (like Driver) require a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License.
• Constable (Driver) Age Limit: Previously 21-27 years. Now 21-30 years (General).
• Other Trades Age Limit: Previously 18-23 years. Now 18-26 years (General).
• Note: OBC candidates get an additional 3 years, and SC/ST candidates get an additional 5 years on top of the new relaxed limits.

5. Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of five stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) - 100 Marks
2. Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3. Trade Test (Qualifying in nature)
4. Document Verification (DV)
5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

6. How to Apply

Candidates who have already applied successfully do not need to apply again. New candidates can apply via:

1. Visit rect.crpf.gov.in.
2. Click on the 'Apply Online for Constable Technical & Tradesmen 2026' link.
3. Register with mobile number and email ID.
4. Fill personal details, upload photograph, signature, and 10th certificate.
5. Pay the Rs. 100/- application fee (SC/ST/Women exempted).
6. Submit and print the application form.
