The Central Bank of India (CBI) has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for engagement as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for the financial year 2026-27. A total of 4,500 vacancies are available across various branches throughout India. The selected candidates will undergo a 1-year training period and receive a monthly stipend.

Vacancy Details
The recruitment offers 4,500 Apprentice slots across all major regions in India. The duration of the apprenticeship contract is exactly one year (12 months).

- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 15,000/- per month (consolidated, no other allowances are admissible)
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following age and academic parameters as of May 31, 2026:
- Educational Qualification: Must possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates must have completed their graduation on or after May 31, 2022. Candidates with prior work experience of one year or more, or who have already undergone apprenticeship training, are not eligible.
- Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Candidates must have been born between May 31, 1998, and May 31, 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates applies.
Application Fee
The application fees are non-refundable and include 18% GST. Fees must be paid online through the payment portal:

Selection Process
Engagement of apprentices will be finalized through a two-tier selection method:
- Online Written Test: The exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions covering General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, General English, and Bank Products/Services. There is no negative marking.
- Local Language Test: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) in the local language of the state they apply for. Failing this test will result in disqualification.
How to Apply
- First, register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in and obtain a unique NATS Enrollment ID.
- Once the NATS ID is generated, visit the BFSI Sector Skill Council portal at beep.bfsissc.com.
- Log in or register on the BFSI portal, locate the Central Bank of India Apprentice application link, and input your details along with your NATS Enrollment ID.
- Fill in the required academic, personal, and location preference information.
- Upload scanned images of your passport photo, signature, and graduation degree.
- Proceed to pay the application fee based on your category using online banking options.
- Verify all inputs, click "Submit", and keep a printed copy of the confirmation page.
