Massive Railway Technician Recruitment Drive
The Ministry of Railways, through various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), has announced a massive recruitment drive for the post of Technicians (Grade I Signal and Grade III). Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for a total of 6,565 vacancies across different railway zones in India. The application window is open, and candidates can submit their forms online until the deadline of July 29, 2026.

The recruitment includes vacancies for two distinct grades of Technicians with different educational requirements and pay scales:

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following qualifications from recognized institutions to apply:
- Technician Grade I Signal: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institution, OR Diploma/Degree in Engineering in the relevant disciplines.
- Technician Grade III: Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade, OR Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in the relevant trade.
Application Fees & Application Process
The application fees for the online exam must be paid online via net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI:
- General / OBC / EWS Candidates: ₹500 (with ₹400 refundable after appearing in the CBT exam)
- SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Female / PwBD / EBC Candidates: ₹250 (fully refundable after appearing in the CBT exam)
Interested and eligible candidates must register on the official RRB online application portal at https://www.rrbapply.gov.in/, fill out the centralized application form, choose their preferred RRB zone, and complete the registration and fee payment on or before July 29, 2026.
